Annual adult social care survey

We are beginning the annual survey of people who use our adult social care services. This is known as the Adult Social Care Survey (ASCS)

Every council in England with responsibility for providing adult social care services is required to conduct an annual survey.

We send the survey by post to a random sample of people with care and support needs who are receiving services from adult social care. It asks you about your views on the services you receive and your quality of life.

How you can help

Please complete and return the survey to us by 3 February 2025. You can use the envelope provided. No stamp is required.

We value your privacy and individual responses to the survey are completely anonymous.

How we use the information

We will analyse the results we receive and share them with NHS England who collate and publish the results from all councils. The results of the survey will be used by the Care Quality Commission, Department of Health, NHS England and by us to improve services.

The more people who take part, the more useful the results will be to help us assess and improve our local services for people like you.

Thank you very much for giving some of your time to help Adult Social Care services.

If you have questions

You will find contact details in the letter you received with the survey if you do have any questions.
