If you are deaf
If you are deaf, we can help you with:
- assistive equipment to help in your home
- information about local organisations and activities
- support from a social worker to help with your day-to-day life
- support with assessments, for example for direct payments and personal budgets
Who can use the service
Anyone living in Croydon who is profoundly deaf.
How we assess your needs
We will assess your needs to work out what help you require.
Our team are fluent in British Sign Language (BSL). You can ask for a Royal Association Deaf caseworker to be there to support you.
Requesting support from the council
You can request support for yourself or someone else online.
Registering as deaf
Registering helps us find out how many deaf people live in Croydon so we can plan our services. But you do not have to register as deaf to use these services.
