Baby loss certificates
Baby loss certificates have been introduced in England.
Bereaved parents who lose a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy, or 28 if the loss was before October 1992, can now receive a certificate in recognition of their loss.
Applicants must:
- be 16 years old
- be one of the baby's parents or surrogate
- have been living in England at the time of the loss
To apply, visit the request a certificate page on GOV.UK.
