If your notice is rejected
If the licensing police or the pollution team believe that the event would undermine the licensing objectives, they may serve an objection notice on the licensing authority and the premises holder.
A hearing will then be arranged at least 24 hours before the beginning of the event.
For guidance on hearings, download the hearing protocol for licence hearings (PDF, 62KB).
Appeal a decision
If a counter notice is given in relation to an objection notice, you may appeal against the decision.
Appeals must be made within 21 days of receiving the decision and in person at Croydon Magistrates Court.
You can only appeal no later than 5 working days from the day of the planned event.
