Premises licence
Premises selling or supplying alcohol, providing entertainment or providing hot food must have a premises licence.

Where a licence lapses, in certain circumstances, interested parties may apply for an interim authority notice to take over the premises. This will reinstate the licence for a prescribed period. This can happen when the premises owner:
- dies
- become bankrupt
- becomes mentally incapable
When to apply for the notice
You must do this within 28 days of the licence lapsing.
Fee
It costs £23.
