If you operate a business offering games of chance for prizes, for example card games then you must have a prize gaming permit.
You must be the person who occupies the relevant premises and be be 18 or over to apply for a prize gaming permit.
You can not apply for a prize gaming permit if you hold a premises licence or club gaming permit on the same premises.
It costs £300 for a new application and the renewal of a permit.

Your permit will only be issued to you when all the necessary inspections and checks have been carried out and the premises meets the required standards.
If your permit is granted, then it will be valid for 10 years.
You can appeal the rejection or any conditions of your permit to the Croydon Magistrates Court.
You can also have to attend a hearing.
It costs £15 for a new permit.
