If you have a stand that accommodates more than 500 people you need to apply for a safety certificate.
Under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975, certain premises, like large football stadiums, require a general safety certificate, issued by the council.
If you think you require a certificate, please contact the Food and Safety team on the details below.
If you are refused a certificate, you can appeal to the local magistrates court. If you object to any of the conditions attached to a certificate may also appeal to the local magistrates court.
We would always advise in the first instance that in the event of a complaint, you make contact with the certificate holder. If you are not satisfied with their response please contact the Health and Safety team.
