Best Start service: for children up to the age of 5

Best Start is a universal service that can give you access to early intervention support from pregnancy until your child turns 5. The service ensures that babies and children have the best start in life by giving them access to the right services and information.

The Best Start service is made up of different organisations that work with:

• families (mothers, fathers and other carers)
• health visitors
• midwives
• GPs
• community parents support
• early learning practitioners and children's centres 

Funding

For information on 2, 3 and 4 year old funding and nurseries, pre-schools, childminders and parent and toddler groups near you visit Family Space Croydon.

If you run a parent and toddler group and would like to be listed on Family Space Croydon so families can find your services, then email the Childcare team.
