In 2023, as part of the Executive Mayor’s commitment to listen to residents, we commissioned an independent research company, DJS Research, to carry out our first residents’ survey in several years.
The survey is based on industry best practice and the questions were developed in line with the LGA guidance to enable benchmarking against other councils.
2023 survey results
Between September 2023 and December 2023, we asked 1,694 residents questions to measure resident satisfaction with the council and local services, and perceptions of the borough.
The survey findings were published in January 2024. Residents’ views from the survey will help to inform all our plans to improve local services. We will carry out another survey in 2025 to measure performance over time.
