Get involved and have your say
Includes participating in consultations, public petitions, commenting on planning applications, watching council meetings and more
How you can participate
We welcome public participation in the work of Scrutiny committees.
Croydon residents, businesses and organisations can also participate in local action mini reviews, attending scrutiny committee meetings to provide information or by suggesting future topics for scrutiny committees to look at. You can also contact your local councillor who can raise an issue on your behalf (such as through a local action mini review).
This year we received contributions from adults and young people with knowledge on a range of issues. If you have an area of expertise or information which the committee would find useful to hear about, contact the Scrutiny team at scrutiny@croydon.gov.uk.
Submit a public petition
A public petition can be debated at a council meeting under the agenda item 'The Croydon Debate'.
You can find out more in our Petition guidance section.
Submit a public question
You can ask a question about any local issues or concerns at any Ordinary Full Council meeting. You can submit questions up to 7 working days before the council meeting. A democratic services officer will contact you to discuss your request after the question has been reviewed.
