A survey is to help us plan future repairs and maintenance to our council homes.
Two contractors, John Rowan and Partners (JRP), and Potter Raper, and Pellings, have been appointed to undertake a stock condition survey of our council homes. The purpose of the survey is to help us assess future planned repairs and maintenance requirements.
Council tenants will receive a letter asking them to book an appointment. You do not have to arrange a survey, but you may miss out on future programmes of improvement works if we are unable to carry one out.
If we do not hear from you to make an appointment, our surveyors will attempt to visit your property when they are in your area.
Our surveyors are provided with a photographic ID card and a letter from Croydon Council. You should ask to see both before letting them into your home. If you are unsure about the surveyor’s identity, please contact us on 020 8726 6100.
The survey should take approximately 25-45 minutes. This will vary depending on the size of your property and whether the surveyor has inspected similar properties on your street.
The surveyor will take photographs of the bathroom, kitchen, electrical meter, and other components as necessary. They will not move any of your possessions or furniture.
This is a visual inspection to collect information relating to the condition of your property. These are for our internal use only and will provide us with a future reference of property attributes.
You will not be contacted regarding the results of the survey. The information will be stored by us and will feed into our long term investment programmes for the next 5 to 30 years,
If you have an immediate repairs issue please report it online or call the contact centre to report it on 020 8726 6101.
