New Addington, along eastern Borough boundary from Vulcan Way to King Henrys Drive.
4 1/4 acres, 1.72 hectares.
The woodland forms the eastern boundary of Croydon, and before that Surrey. The woodland is essentially a narrow strip of overgrowth between the development in New Addington and the adjacent fields in Bromley. The strip of vegetation traces the route of a Roman Road which connected London with Lewes, leaving Watling Street at Peckham.
