Wandle Park is a 4 hectare town centre park. It has been redeveloped to offer some tranquillity to an area of Croydon that has little green space. The river Wandle flows through the park, providing tranquil vistas along the banks of the river.
The park has a host of recreational opportunities. These include:
Wandle Park reopened in 2012 after the park was redeveloped with money from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the London Mayor's Help a London Park fund, and Barrett's Homes.
Waddon, Main entrance off Cornwall Road. The Tram service for the park stops at Wandle Park - Route 3.

The Friends of Wandle Park is a group of volunteers who meet every month to discuss maintaining the quality of the park, work on projects around the park to increase fauna and flora, and support groups with other projects on the site.
The group has helped with putting on poetry, music and theatre in the park as well as being a guiding light on the heritage projects and the community garden.
If you would like to get involved in the community activities going on around the park, the Friends of Wandle Park is a great place to start! New members are warmly welcome.

Wandle Park Community Garden is a fun, friendly project growing food and flowers in Wandle Park. The idea of the project is to provide a great place to come on a Sunday and have a chat, discuss gardening and grow food.
During the summer Wandle Park comes alive with a program of events to celebrate and utilise this brand new space on the door step of Croydon Town Centre.
