History

This small open space was sold to the Corporation in May 1940; the area was part of the Morland Park Estate. The land registry map shows the area divided into three plots fronting Exeter Road and these were sold as building sites for private houses or dwelling houses with shops. The land behind the houses was not developed and this is now used as a kickabout area by local children.
