Free parking places

As part of the Executive Mayor’s plans to support businesses, we are launching a parking trial that we hope will improve parking for shoppers and traders at South End and Selsdon Road. 
Use this online survey to have your say. We welcome your feedback on this trial. The survey closes at midnight on Sunday 16 July.

There is free parking in a number of areas in local and district centres. This is to encourage customers to these areas and to support local businesses.

You must get a ticket from the machine and display it to avoid a penalty charge.

Free parking for one hour

You can stay for up to one hour maximum in these bays:

• Lower Addiscombe Road - by Davidson Road and in Addiscombe local centre
• Cherry Orchard Road (Lower Addiscombe Road end)
• High Street, Thornton Heath
• High Street, Purley
• Whytecliffe Road South by High Street, Purley
• Old Lodge Lane - by Brighton Road, Purley
• Portland Road, South Norwood
• Station Road, South Norwood
• Addington Road, Selsdon
• Brighton Road, South Croydon - by Wyche Grove, Kingsdown Avenue and Biddulph Road
• Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood (by Crown Point)
• Beulah Road, Thornton Heath (by Parchmore Road)
• Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon (Lion Green Road to Brighton Road)
• Doble Close by Brighton Rd, Coulsdon
• The Avenue, Coulsdon (Brighton Road end)
• Station Approach Road, Coulsdon (Brighton Road end)
• Malcolm Road, Coulsdon (Brighton Road end outside Waitrose Car Park)
• Central Parade (Service Road), New Addington
• Sanderstead Road & Station Approach, South Croydon

Free parking for 30 minutes

You can stay for up to 2 hours in these bays, with the first 30 minutes free:

• London Road, West Croydon Station to Sumner Road
• South End, Croydon
• Selsdon Road, South Croydon - between Ledbury Road and Bartlett Street.

Free parking within car parks

• Central Parade, New Addington - main car park (free parking for first 30 minutes).
