Littering is a criminal offence and we will take legal action against those caught breaking the law. Litter makes Croydon look dirty and uncared for and it costs taxpayers’ money when the council has to clear it up. If caught littering you could be fined £80 or even prosecuted.
You can help keep the streets clean by taking pride and personal responsibility for where you live or work in Croydon.
If you’re interested in organising a litter pick or community clean up, we can help you through our street champion scheme. You can also find information and guidance at Keep Britain Tidy and Litter Action.
