Highway search enquiries

The Council hold records of highway maintenance responsibilities. The information includes the extent of the adopted highway relative to a property.

From 1 April 2020, the fees charged by this Council for highway search results will change to:

• Plans showing the extent of the highway and an explanation letter will cost £90
•  A charge of £60 will be payable for a response to each additional question asked

How to request a search

Enquiries can be sent by email to either highwaysearches@croydon.gov.uk or by letter to  the address below (you should include contact details)

Please provide a plan with the area of interest clearly marked.

We will then contact you and let you know the fees payable.

Fees can be paid by telephone using credit or debit card. 

On settlement of the fee we will send your search results to you.

You should allow five working days following payment of the fees to receiving your search results.
