How the Council will engage with local and statutory stakeholders, both in preparing planning documents, and in carrying out development management.
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) details how the Council will engage with local and statutory stakeholders, both in preparing planning documents, and in carrying out development management functions. It must also set out how the Council will provide advice or assistance on the preparation and adoption of Neighbourhood Plans.
The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 have introduced (as of 6 April 2018) a requirement to review the SCI within five years of the adoption of the last statement. Croydon’s SCI was adopted on 21 January 2019.
