Information on new fees for bins and boxes.
On 19 August 2025, we introduced fees for waste and recycling containers.
Container | Fee |
Paper 55 litre (Paper and card box) | £8.00 |
Recycling 55 litre (Glass and plastics box) | £8.00 |
Refuse 180 litre (General rubbish) | £39.00 |
Paper 240 litre (Paper and card bin) | £33.00 |
Recycling 240 litre (Glass and plastics bin) | £33.00 |
When you order a recycling container, our system will only show the container that is suitable for your property. For most properties, that will be a 240 litre recycling bin, but some properties will be offered a 55 litre box instead.
Food waste caddies will continue to be supplied for free.
If you believe that your container, for example, wheelie bin, has been damaged or lost by the collection crew, you can request a replacement for free. You will require evidence such as video footage or photos to support your claim. All claims must be submitted through the contact the council form.
