An academy for boys and girls.
Oasis Academy Arena opened with Year 7 in September 2015 and moved into a brand new state of the art building in September 2016. Our students are fortunate enough to be taught in well-equipped classrooms with modern science laboratories, technology workshops, a sports hall and gymnasium. The students joining in Year 7 in September 2019 will be the last new year group and will be fortunate enough to join a small secondary academy with high aspirations and a caring family feel.
Oasis Arena is an academy which is driven and defined by its values and the Oasis 9 habits:
The academy has a strong focus on each student's academic achievement as well as their personal development and wellbeing. We are an academy that serves the community with pride, and we are determined to ensure that all of our students, irrespective of background, leave us as highly qualified, personable and articulate young people ready to lead happy and enriching adult lives.
We are a fully inclusive, non-selective school open to students of all religious faiths or those of no faith. We are very fortunate to be a member of the Oasis family, whose aim to transform communities by supporting the lives of young people socially, emotionally, educationally, physically and environmentally, is one we uphold with pride. We work closely with local primary and secondary schools, including our friends within the Oasis family.
All children follow the national curriculum, applied in a manner that provides them with an inspiring and challenging education suited to age, ability and interest. Our curriculum will provide students with academic rigour alongside a wide and rich range of first hand educational and cultural experiences that will encourage our children to discover and develop their potential to the full. Our children are supported with form tutors, heads of year and pastoral mentors to ensure that their time at the academy is successful.
Enhanced learning provision is a term that is used to describe specialist provision in a mainstream school for pupils with a significant level of special needs.
Oasis Academy Arena supports pupils with autism.
Admission to these is through Croydon Council’s special educational needs (SEN) team.
