These are some events and awareness days that could be used to promote road safety in your school:
- late September - Car Free Day
- October - International Walk to School Month
- early November - Outdoor Classroom Day
- autumn term - Brighten Your Bag
- early to mid November - Commute Smart Week
- mid to late November - Road Safety Week
- spring term - WOW badge design competition
- start of summer term - Sustrans The Big Pedal
- May - National Walking Month
- mid to late May - Walk to School Week
- early June - World Environment Day
- mid to late June - Bike Week
- June - Green Transport Week
- June - Clean Air Day
- late June - Brake Kids Walk
