Appointment of overseas trained teachers

Overseas trained teachers are welcomed to apply for any job advertised by the Croydon local education authority. However, if the teachers do not have qualified teacher status (QTS), they can be employed on the unqualified teacher pay scale.

There are a number of initiatives that the Croydon Education Partnership are supporting to ensure that Croydon is a destination of choice:

Experts will be available to offer advice and tips on various aspects of teaching, such as:

  • applying to become a teacher
  • securing your first teaching job
  • returning to teaching
  • re-training as a teacher
