Special treatments licence
If you run a business that offers beauty treatments, massage, alternative therapies or tanning facilities you may need a special treatments licence.
Who needs to apply
Premises offering special treatments must have a special treatments licence.
Treatments include:
- massage
- acupuncture
- manicure
- piercing and tattooing
- sauna and light
- electric or vapour treatments

All premises offering special treatments must comply with the special treatments licence conditions (PDF, 229KB).
Exemptions
