Businesses working with the council to help reduce knife crime in London.
We're currently working with The Mayor's Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC) and the Metropolitan Police to reduce incidents of knife crime in London. Businesses in Croydon that sell knives and bladed instruments have a part to play in helping us.
If you're a retailer of knives or bladed instruments, you have a part to play. We’ve designed a toolkit which contains a pack of training resources for businesses in carrying out their legal responsibilities when it comes to selling knives.
Find out more about training for storage, display, sale and delivery of knives on the National Business Crime Centre website.
Most businesses that sell knives in the borough will have already received a visit from one of our Trading Standards team, to discuss the London responsible retailer agreement on the safe storage and sale of knives (PDF, 1.6 KB).
If you haven't received a visit, or you're a new business who would like to find out more and sign up, contact us.
