Finance for young people

Personal Finance Education Group is an educational charity that has set out to make sure that all young people leaving school have the confidence, skills and knowledge in financial matters to take part fully in society.

Consumer competition - PlaySafe

The British Toy and Hobby Association, in alliance with the Chartered Trading Standards Institute run an annual competition inviting children to design a safe toy.

Pupils entering the competition can be as creative as their imaginations allow in designing a toy for a child aged between 3 and 7 years. Toy safety is paramount and practical advice is given for use by both pupils and teachers.

Proof of age cards

Trading Standards has been working in conjunction with the CitizenCard scheme and many schools in the area have issued these cards to their pupils.
