Small grants programme

The Small Grants Programme is provided and administered by Kingston Race and Equalities Council (KREC). Grants of up to £2,000 are available for voluntary and community organisations in South West London.

KREC’s objectives are:

  • to work towards the elimination of racial discrimination and associated inequalities
  • to promote equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different racial groups
  • to address the human rights and needs of all communities

Who can apply

Voluntary and community organisations that work with minoritised and diverse communities across South West London and demonstrate a commitment to tackling health inequalities can apply.

All funded organisations will:

  • engage communities by conducting activities that encourage community input and participation
  • gather insights to collect findings on how to address inequalities in health and care
  • contribute to the KREC report and share insights to inform the KREC report and conference in April 2025
  • propose recommendations to provide practical ideas for creating more equitable health and care systems

Eligible spending

Funding is for project costs such as:

  • hosting events, focus groups, or community discussions
  • providing resources, or equipment to support engagement
  • creative methods to help engage with local communities to share their views, collect, and share insight

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Groups should contact KREC by email to request an application form.
