The Civic Mayor of Croydon

About the Civic Mayor of Croydon, their charities, how to invite them to your event, events and updates.

The Civic Mayor's charities

The Civic Mayor will work hard to raise awareness and raise funds for the following two local charity groups he has chosen to support during his civic mayoral term.

Funds raised to the Civic Mayors Charity Fund will be distributed equally between the two chosen charities at the end of the year.

The Family Centre

The Family Centre operates in Fieldway, New Addington, an area characterized by high levels of social deprivation. The Family Centre’s mission is to support and strengthen families and children so they can improve the health, educational, social and employment aspects of their lives. They do this by raising aspirations, creating opportunities and empowering individuals, families and the hard to reach, with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Nightwatch Croydon

Nightwatch acts as first line contact for homeless people, signposting them to other agencies and providing stabilisation of former homeless people into new accommodation and helping unemployed homeless people (both financially and emotionally). They provide urgent and necessary items of food, clothes, toiletries, pots, pans and household goods to people in need. Nightwatch also educate the community at large in Croydon about the realities of homelessness.
