Trees in conservation areas

Conservation areas are areas of special architectural or historical interest whose character should be preserved. Landscape features, including trees, contribute to the character of an area and special provision is made for their protection.

Tree preservation orders

A tree preservation order (TPO) is issued by the council to protect trees and woodlands.

High hedges

Problems between neighbours can occur if a hedge is allowed to grow unchecked. The council may be able to help.
