Problems between neighbours can occur if a hedge is allowed to grow unchecked. The council may be able to help.
The Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 gives local authorities powers to enforce specific height restrictions on hedges. Involving us should be a last resort and we will charge you £600 for this service.
We can refuse to intervene if we think you have not done everything you reasonably could have to settle a dispute amicably.
Before contacting us, we strongly recommend Reading the guidance on the Gov UK website. This outlines the High Hedge act, and tells you what would be required of you before proceeding. with a complaint.
