Waddon Ponds is one of three main sites where the River Wandle can be seen in Croydon. The ponds are fed by springs which provide clean and clear water which supports a range of aquatic life and attracts many different birds, ducks and geese. Information about the site can be downloaded via the links below.
The Living Wandle Landscape Partnership Scheme brought together boroughs and community partners along the river to deliver a series of projects aimed at conserving, restoring, promoting access and celebrating the Wandle’s built and natural heritage. Many projects have been delivered including improvements to the waterside habitats in Waddon Ponds and new interpretive signs for the site. The projects have been funded by the projects partners and the Heritage Lottery Fund
