An area of well preserved large Victorian and Edwardian houses, in a range of notable styles, located in close proximity to Croydon town centre.

In order to protect the special character of the conservation area, and in line with section 8.2 of the Chatsworth Road Conservation Area Management Plan, the council has confirmed a non-immediate Article 4 Direction.
