If you are living in a Croydon Council owned property, contact our new specialist team, email dampandmould@croydon.gov.uk or visit our damp and mould page for council tenants.
When you report a problem, you will need you to provide us with background to the damp and mould issues.
Private tenants
For private tenants this will include:
- the recent communication with the landlord or property agent
- their responses
- information about the problem

If the conditions are serious, or your landlord or property agent are not providing you with the right level of support, we may send out a housing enforcement officer to assess the conditions and inspect the property.
Landlords and property agents
For landlords and property agents this will include:
- providing a copy of the 'inspection form'
- the proposed action plan
If the conditions are serious, the landlord or property agent should take immediate steps to prevent water penetration and to neutralise the mould within the property.
