If you wish to trade in metals or motor salvage you will need to apply for either a site licence or a mobile collectors licence or both.

After you've applied

Received applications will be forwarded to the police and the Environment Agency for comments.

Issuing your licence

Your licence will only be issued to you when all the necessary inspections and checks have been carried out and the premise meets the required standards. The licence may also list additional site specific conditions.

The licence is valid for 3 years from the date of grant.

If your licence application is refused 

Any person who is refused a licence can appeal to the local magistrates court.
