The Parks team

During 2022 the council will complete the reorganisation of its parks team.  The new team will be called Parks and Green Spaces. 
Full details of the new team will be published when the reorganisation is complete.
 

Grounds maintenance

The ground maintenance team are responsible for a wide variety of tasks across our green spaces within the borough, and more detailed information is available on the grounds maintenance web page.

The parks development team are also responsible for managing a wide variety of assets in our green spaces as well as activities that take place in them. The most common of these include:

  • Playground and recreational area maintenance 
  • Other built assets and infrastructure, such as pavilions and paths
  • Park improvement projects, such as the Playground Programme
  • Allotments and food growing
  • Support of our ‘Friends of’ groups
  • Nature and conservation work and partnerships
