Our contractor will not collect waste and recycling, unless adequate bins are on site.
Landlords and managing agents
You will need to make sure that your tenants have access to appropriate waste bins to ensure collections run smoothly.
Residential locations with 5 or more flats need to hire or buy general rubbish bins.
Bins can be hired from us. To arrange a hire contract with email hirebins@croydon.gov.uk.
You can also make arrangements to buy or hire bins from a third party supplier.

Tenants
If you are a tenant contact your managing agent, landlord or residents association. They are responsible for the hire or purchase of general waste bins.
New builds and house conversions
Bins for new build properties and house conversions are the responsibility of the managing agent, developer, or owner.
We do not allow the use of third party or private waste collectors for new developments or conversions, unless this is formally agreed by our Waste & recycling department.

Bins must be located within 20 metres of the collection vehicle. If this is not possible, the driveway leading to the bin store must meet highway standards.
