Sheltered housing

Sheltered housing is designed to meet the needs of older people who are seeking a home for independent living into their retirement.

Social activities

Making new friends with other residents is one of the benefits of living in a sheltered housing scheme. Residents organise activities that can include:

  • coffee mornings
  • gardening
  • parties
  • bingo sessions
  • exercise classes
  • boules
  • barbeques
  • darts
  • trips out
  • some schemes have visiting hairdressers and chiropodists

It is really up to you to choose if you want to join in with the communal activities. Having separate accommodation  means you can have privacy when you want it.
