Landlord licensing
The consultation on the introduction of a selective licensing and HMO additional licensing scheme ran for 12 weeks to the 12 January 2026. The responses are being processed and a report will be produced shortly.
We do not currently have a licensing scheme for privately rented properties, apart from mandatory HMO licensing.
