Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule Review

CIL is a planning charge introduced by the Planning Act 2008 as a tool for local authorities in England and Wales to help deliver infrastructure, facilities and services needed to support the development of their area.

We have been operating a CIL since 2013 and we are currently in the process of reviewing the charging schedule.

We  published the CIL Draft Charging Schedule and supporting evidence documents for statutory consultation from 30 April to 11 June 2025.

On 28 November 2025, the CIL Draft Charging Schedule and associated evidence documents were submitted for independent examination. This was under Regulation 19 of the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended).

Read the Statement of Fact for further details.
