Find out how to arrange collection of large household items that cannot be reused or recycled.
If you cannot re-use or transport large and unwanted items to our reuse and recycling centres, we can collect these items to be recycled.
Most retailers must provide a way for you to dispose of old household electrical and electronic equipment when you buy a new version of the same item. You can check with the retailer before you order a collection. Find out more about retailer responsibilities on GOV.UK.
Sofas, armchairs, beanbags, cushions and other upholstered furniture may contain Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
These items must be collected separately from bulky waste such as fridges, washing machines, wardrobes and bed frames.
If your booking includes items that contain POPs, and other bulky waste, they will be collected in 2 separate visits on the same day.
You don’t need to contact the council. Our contractor will arrange both collections.
